From the pictures in this article if these cities grow in population anymore it will be to crowded to drive or maybe even to crowded to walk. People could get trampled in all the comotion and chaos caused by over population.

If the world population increases in the megacities any more there will be barely any room to drive vehicles. Also when I looked at the pictures i just could not believe how many houses there are and how many people there are in the megacities. I would never live in the megacities because i would be to cramped and i could not deal with it.

This article is kind of scary. It shows us how many people there will be in the futre. It talks about how we as the world are already overpopulated. I know its hard to think but we could have so many people in the world it may be very sad due to the fact that people could die due to overpopluation.

I cant believe that the population will increase from 6.5 million to about 9 million by 2050. That is outrageous. If this turns out to be true then we will be in trouble. There won’t be enough food for everyone. Many people won’t even be able to have a home because there won’t be enough land avalaible for people to build a house.

The numbers in this article are very dramatic and in the future could be very dangerous. If our urban populations do multiply by two, then our nation would be nothing like it is now. That is just TOOO many people!! If we don’t do something about this soon, we will create a new time period of crisis and then it could eventually lead to a revolution. We NEED to do something about overpopulation.

It’s clear that the population is going to explode in the next 50 years. In the big cities they are going to have to put more food markets and other types of stores in the city to keep the population going. Another problem is that there are a lot of homeless people living on streets. They will have to build more houses and apartments.

Wow….honestley I can’t believe a world with that many people. That would be awful to be homeless or live in shacks. I really don’t want that many people because I would feel claustrophobic or something. But honestly how can we stop overpopulating our earth?

I think that is weird that the population is growing so fast. We cant really do anything about it though because you cant tell people that they cant have kids because of the population. So i dont know what we should do.

By reading this article it is obvious to me that we need to do something to stop the population getting higher and higher. Even though many people would not like the idea of having limits on the number of kids they can have, this might be necessary if the populations continues to grow at a rapid pace. I do not think its right to tell someone how many children they can have but as the article said what if everyday activities became difficult like taking kids to school, getting gas, driving somewhere, and so on. What else could be done to stop the growth of population? There are many things that would come along with this population growth like, diseases, decrease in natural resource supply, and many others. I do not think our country is ready to handle all of these problems. We have too much to worry about. Also the article says that there would be so many homeless people. I do not believe our country needs anymore homeless people when you can go to NYC and see tons of them lying on the streets every night. If our world got over populated there would be so many more poor people because there would be not enough jobs.

Now that I have read this article I am very scared of what will happen in the future. We are already very populated and as the years go on we will be even more over populated. More and more people will die daily. We already have tons of homeless people in the world today.

This is actually scary; the amount of people that will soon be in the world is crazy. Just the thought of having that many people is crazy. I think that there should be a limit on the amount of children you have because soon there will be no where to put everyone. What will we do? I really have no idea what we should do but we need to think of something soon. Like Taylor, said “everyday things like taking your kid to school or driving to work is going to be a problem. The amount of people that would be homeless and probably die of starvation in insane if you think about it, I mean look at the people that are in the situation now.

10 million is a big number, especially a big number of people. We know that there isnt much we can do. The population will keep growing. We have to come up with ways to “expand the world”. There is still lots of land that isnt used, some haven’t even been explored. Maybe we can form new cities and try to draw people living in very large cities to the new areas. Nature could also balance the population. A disease could break out and kill thousands, or there could be a period of time where the population wont grow so dramatically. People will still die and that may balance the population out. We wont find out until we see if this ” prediction ” comes true.

The population in the world is growing way to rapidly. There is going to be more homeless people, less food, supplies, jobs, and there may not even be enough room to walk outside. We cannot really do anything to stop the world from overpopulating but, we do have to figure something out before it does get worse.

I believe that we are population will keep rising and by the time we are in the year 2050 we could be gone actually will be gone. It’s only a matter of time.

I cannot believe that the population is going to increase that much. That is a lot. If this turns out true there is not going to be any room to grow food to survive. I think that we should do something about it so that this won’t happen so soon. I just don’t understand how it could increase that much. I don’t know how people will survive if the pollution gets that high.

I think it is sad that eventually our planet will be too polluted for people to survive on earth. I believe if we limit the amount of fossil fuels that we use, our planet will be cleaner and humans will be able to live on earth longer.

If you look at the pictures its actually pretty scary. Just think – THATS HOW THINGS ARE NOW!!! Just imagine what the situation will be later in life. As the article says, the higher the population gets the worse evreything else will get. Mostly everything that harms the Earth is our fault. Polution rates and the amount of dissease will steadilly escalate over the years. Sooner or later the living conditons will be too bad to live in. We need to do something about this. I am not attacking anyones beliefs but it think that abortion will help alot. There are a lot of people who have babies that they do not want and they end up keeping them. They are eventualy forced to drop out of school and add to the amount of people on welfare. If more people have abortions there will be less offspring and less people that are poor and living off welfare. Another way to slow the growth of our population is to scare people out of having babies. If we show them what will happen if they overpopulate the Earth maybe more people will reallize that having too many children is a bad thing. Which brings about the idea of limiting the amount of children a family can have. There are a lot of ways to stop our over population and we need to make people reallize what will happen.

wow! Thats a lot of people. I don’t want that many people in the world. Because most people would try to imagrate to the U.S because we are amazing. Most people will want the freedom we get here and America will get very populated. I will feel like I am getting run out of my country.

This article states something that is on everyone’s mind, but no one has addressed. Will We Have a child limit? Maybe. Will we have an increase in abortions? possibly. But this all depends on what the world leaders are going to do about it. This reminded me of the world count that Mr. Baldwin put up in class. Just to remind us- the world is growing in population more and more each year, and as sick of a thing to think, it makes you wonder- maybe such diseases as AIDS and cancers aren’t such a bad thing in the long run. I am curious to see how the governments will handle this.

I agree with Taylor. If something isn’t done, then how are we going to get along with our everyday activities? People are having a hard enough time getting around in large cities as it is let alone adding more people. The streets of NYC and the park benches in Washington DC are lined with homeless people. It’s really sad and depressing to know that there are going to have MORE homeless people in the world. There are going to be less jobs, more shacks, less natural resources and more diseases if the population increases, especially if it increases like this article says. This Earth is not built to hold this many people.

I can’t believe how many people there are going to be! What caught my eye however, was in the list of the largest cities coming to be. In that list, there was only one city in the USA! I think this will be a major problem in the future. We could run out of food and then more people would die. It will also cause more pollution because of more people using cars, more factories, and more waste in the dump. There are going to be more homeless people also. There will be so many people, that everyplace you go will probably look like a city today. I don’t know how else to control this problem, other than limiting the number of children each family has. Many people probably won’t like it, but it will be worse in the future for their children if it isn’t stopped.
